40 yards or 36.58m is quite a long way in the whole scheme of things and therefore if you don’t have the room to run this far then you can do a 10 yard extrapolation instead.  This simply means that you run with the same set up and execution that you would over the 40 yards but over 10 yards instead. We then use a clever equation to work out what your time will be over 40 yards and work your score off of that.
